Don’t forget these tips when starting your home-buying journey.
If you’ve decided to buy a home, here are three tips to remember before getting started:
1. Have transparency with your lender. Talk to them about other income, employment gaps, or any other issues you have that might make a difference when it comes to getting a loan. Transparency is key!
2. Pick a good Realtor. We’re seeing more multiple-offer situations than we ever have before, so your Realtor needs to be ready. This means asking the right questions at the right times to get you all the information you need. Once you have that, listen to their advice on how to win the bid.
3. Try not to go crazy. Buying a house can be stressful, and it’s even worse when inventory is low, but the most important thing is to build a team you trust—meaning your Realtor and lender—and then trust the process.
As always, if you have questions about this or any real estate topic, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re happy to help.
