Here’s what everyone should know about Zillow and their instant Zestimates.
Recently, I’ve been getting a lot of questions about the accuracy of Zillow’s Zestimates. As far as instant values go, they’re not bad. However, they’re generated from inaccurate data points.
There can be a 10% swing in price either way based on your Zestimate. If you have a $1 million property, you could be overpricing or underpricing the property by $100,000 if you go by its Zestimate.
We recently ran across a property that had a $700,000 Zestimate. The property is currently under contract for $1.4 million.
